Process automation / RPA
Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is the activity of automating work performed by an employee in an existing application or set of applications. The ideal target for a RPA project, is big departments where various similar activities are repeated again and again by a substantial workforce.
RPA projects have a an enormous business appeal, as scope is usually relatively small while the returns can be astronomical. While the term RPA has gained prominence only in the last few years, this type of process automation has been happening for more than a decade.

Choosing the right technology is not just about the capabilities of the technologies available on the market. There's lots of other parameters both internal and external, which can weigh heavily on the scales. I can significantly increase the odds of making the right choice of technology for your team, project or organization.
What roles and personnel do we need for our software teams? What process and development model should we use? What capacity should we plan for? There's a big difference in what an optimal software team looks like. An R&D team in embedded software will look vastly different from an operations team in CRM maintenance. Using a wrong development model or misjudging capacity can be a costly excercise.
What is agile really? Does it always make sense to implement agile practices? What's the difference between SCRUM and Agile? From reading the press, agile is everywhere, revolutionizes everything and is applicable in every activity. Agile is not a silver bullet, and can in fact be a waste of time and money.
However, "agile" when implemented correctly and more importantly, under circumstances and context that makes sense, can give massive increases in customer satisfaction, speed and flexibility.
